It is crucial to bridge the gap between policy and the State’s ability to execute. Whether public goods and services like health and education, or cyber security and financial regulation — a well-equipped state underpins the path to growth and widespread prosperity. This series of virtual roundtables captures diverse perspectives from India and around the world to discuss determinants and trajectories of state capability, including bold experiments to reform government.
The series is closed door and invite-only, to facilitate candid conversation within a carefully curated audience of policymakers, politicians, academics, philanthropists, businesspeople and members of civil society. Through this series, we hope to foster a common conception of the path towards a capable State that is able to address the root causes of development shortfalls, not merely the symptoms.
