The Hindu reports on a panel 'Nourishing the Food System' at the World Economic Forum's India Summit in New Delhi in October 2017. Reuben Abraham, CEO and Senior Fellow at IDFC Institute, chaired the panel. The other speakers on the panel included Chandrababu Naidu- CM Andhra Pradesh, Harsimrat Kaur Badal- Minister of Food Processing Industries, Amit Mehra- Founder, Reuters Market Light, Jai Shroff- Global Chief Executive Officer, UPL and Suresh Narayanan- Chairman and MD, Nestlé India.
Chandrababu Naidu noted,“I want to implement all the technologies available in the world for strengthening forward and backward linkages in the agriculture market. The State government and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation would organise a global event on technologies in agriculture in November in which Bill Gates will also participate.”
