Ishita Trivedi

Ishita Trivedi was a Consulting Associate at IDFC Institute. Prior to working at IDFC, Ishita was a LAMP fellow and worked with Prof. M.V. Rajeev Gowda as a Legislative Analyst at his Delhi office. During this time she prepared Private Member Bills, Parliamentary Questions, Special Mentions, and provided research inputs for press conferences, committee meetings, and other media interactions. She was also a part of the AICC Research and Coordination Committee and was responsible for producing research outputs which included analysis of state elections, Demand for Grants and other budgetary documents, and tracking performance of key ministries for Congress MPs and other AICC functionaries.

She has been a grantee of the Open Society Foundation and as a part of the Open Society Internship for Rights and Governance, interned at Girls Not Brides- The Global Partnership to End Child Marriage in London. 

She holds a Bachelor’s (Hons.) in Economics from Miranda House, Delhi University and a Master’s in Public Policy from O.P. Jindal Global University where she was on the Dean’s Merit List for academic excellence. Her Master’s thesis is titled “Interrogating Rape-Adjudication: Exploring Consent, Chastity and Credibility in American and Indian contexts” and her paper “The Woes of Being Politically Visible in an Aspirational Global City: A Case of Auto Rickshaw Drivers in Delhi” was selected by the School of Public Policy and Governance, TISS Hyderabad for their Student Working Paper Series.
