HR Lead (Part-time)


About the Role

IDFC Institute is seeking applications for the position of HR Lead to develop and implement HR strategy aligned with the Institute’s goals. IDFC Institute is a young, but rapidly growing organisation. The HR Lead will play a pivotal role at the Institute at this stage of growth.

The ideal candidate for the role should possess strong organisational skills, be a good communicator and be willing to step into a leadership position. The Lead will work directly with the CEO, the senior management team of IDFC Institute, and the Head of HR at IDFC Foundation. The position is part-time based in our Mumbai office.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the Institute’s goals
  • Manage workforce planning, recruitment and employment process
  • Oversee and manage payroll requirements
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal process
  • Prepare HR budget and remuneration plan 
  • Devise induction and training needs 
  • Ensure compliance to legal requirements, if any


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources or equivalent from a reputed university
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR strategy and implementation
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience
  • Basic knowledge of the public policy landscape is an added bonus
